We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"I like that it's a stable solution and their support is good. I think Microsoft's commercial force is superior.""The initial setup was very easy.""The fact that Azure Backup is integrated is one of its biggest advantages.""Azure Backup is good because it is entirely cloud-based, which means that you can be 99.9% sure that your backup is safe.""The MARS agent makes it easy to use.""It's very simple to configure which is very useful. It's not complex to configure it.""The feature that I have found the most valuable is that it is easy to create a backup by using Azure Backup. It also has a good user interface and nice features for sending notifications when any backup fails or there is a change in the status of virtual machines.""The most valuable feature is the ease in which it backs up our data."

"The solution's best features are its ease of use and replication.""The initial setup was very easy.""The solution is easy to use and have good performance.""Vendor integration for many of the enterprise features have allowed for us to have greater performance from our storage vendors further improving on our commitments to protect our clients' data.""If you have a lot of central sites and remote sites, you can easily set up the replication and make it easier.""I have found one of the most valuable features to be the integrity of the backups.""The technical support is good.""The solution does a good job with VM backups."

Cons
"Technical support is in need of improvement.""In the next release, I would like to see the ability to back up to different cloud providers.""We would like to see some kind of notification given to the user that a file was not synchronized well or what may have happened.""The solution is still in its infancy; it's not a mature product yet.""To make it a ten, it should have the ability to extend the retention and to perform a copy of the data outside of the subscription - with no additional costs.""On-prem can be complex to set up but the cloud is simple.""They need to improve the frequency of the backup. You can only backup one to three times a day. It would be better to back up continuously throughout the day.""The time required to restore files should be a little faster."

"Although the solution offers documentation, it has it only in English, which doesn't help us much in Belarus.""The whole graphical user interface is very easy, but the details are hidden deeply and aren't easily visible. You cannot easily see the details and explore or choose the settings. We should be able to easily explore various settings and options. If you can see more details while choosing the settings or setting it up, it helps in getting the software running easily. For example, in Microsoft Office, you can see much more in the interface than in Veeam Backup & Replication. It is a complex software. It is not easy to use, and you must know what to do and where to do. The user manual has more than a thousand pages. They should give some direct information through the software and improve the software. On their website, they can have some videos and step-by-step information to make us come straight to our goals.""They need a better solution for backend storage.""Pricing can be improved.""One challenge that we have encountered was on the long-term retention of data. Be sure to look into a dedicated deduplication appliance.""There's a lot of room for improvement surrounding the backup process.""The implementation of the features can be improved. Currently, there is no segregation of duty. Normally, any backup software or client service software is implemented in a way where one person is responsible for the implementation of the server, and one is responsible for the client, but Veeam Backup & Replication is not implemented in that way. Therefore, restores don't work like that. The backup guys have to do the restores, which is not a good thing. Its pricing should also be improved. It is quite expensive.""It needs to offer an automatic check for backups."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"This is an expensive solution in the Bangladesh marketplace.""We are paying about $100,000 USD per year, just for a couple of servers.""The price is pretty good, maybe $30 for a machine, I can't complain.""The price is somewhat high and could be lower.""Price-wise, it's similar to AWS.""Support payment works by the level of partnership and the number of shares.""It is a bit costly initially, but it is well worth it in the long run, especially for fighting against a number of threats, such as ransomware, which the IT industry is facing."

More Azure Backup Pricing and Cost Advice »

"It is approximately $4,000 to $5,000 for the purchase of the product and I paid an additional $2,000 for the renewal.""We have a yearly perpetual license.""Our licensing fees are paid yearly and the cost is about $12,000 Swiss Francs ($17,400 USD).""The price of the solution could improve when comparing it to competitors. The market is very competitive and they should have some discounts or special offers.""It is more expensive than other solutions.""It's expensive and costs about 4000 a year.""We have increased our scalability while being able to free up senior resources from recovery activities. I estimate our overall savings to about $20,000 per year.""Its software solution has a fee."
