Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature is that it ensures our servers are up.""We like this searchability and availability of the data.""Azure Monitor is very stable.""Provides an overview and high-level information.""Azure Monitor is really just a source for Dynatrace. It's just collecting data and monitoring the environment and the infrastructure. It is fairly good at that.""The solution is quite stable.""The most valuable feature is that it's stable. It hasn't crossed any thresholds.""The solution works well overall. It's easy to implement and simple to use."

"The most valuable features are the agility, being able to ingest many data sources with no limitation on capacity.""The flexibility to develop and consolidate many solutions into one platform is great.""The modeling required to setup ITSI has been very helpful in providing us a better understanding and a logical view of our services. The modeling is flexible and can be as granular or high level as our needs dictate.""We liked the built-in calculation of health scores."

Cons
"Lacks information including details related to where problems lie.""When something goes down, we want the option to have automation in place to get it back up again as quickly as possible.""The price could be lower but it is not a must.""The troubleshooting logs need improvement. There should be some improvement there. I have a hard time finding the right logs at the right times whenever there is an issue occurring.""The process of implementation needs to be easier.""Automation related to gathering metrics from more applications could be improved.""There are a lot of things that take more time to do, such as charting, alerting, and correlation of data, and things like that. Azure Monitor doesn't tell you why something happened. It just tells you that it happened. It should also have some type of AI. Environments and applications are becoming more and more complex every day with hundreds or thousands of microservices. Therefore, having to do a lot of the stuff manually takes a lot of time, and on top of that, troubleshooting issues takes a lot of time. The traditional method of troubleshooting doesn't really work for or apply to this environment we're in. So, having an AI-based system and the ability to automate deployments of your monitoring and configurations makes it much easier.""In my opinion, they should improve the overall user experience, especially when it comes to indexing and searching collective logs."

"We also faced challenges relating to UI development.""Some of our customers occasionally require the development of the connectors when there are no native connectors so that we can develop in Python or for customer slash comments as well. If they could adjust that, it would be ideal.""The problem becomes the price, as Splunk is an expensive product.""ITSI could benefit from a security model that would allow operations team members to get involved in model building, KPI implementation, and model maintenance, while maintaining appropriate segregation of duties."
