Pros
"One of the valuable features of the solution is its flexibility and it performs great.""The capabilities for scalability with this product are huge""Cisco is head-and-shoulders above all of the competition when it comes to technical support.""Cisco has always been a premium product. There's a lot of other entry-level solutions. This is more robust.""One of the main features is that the hardware is extremely reliable.""What I have used the most and received the most benefit from is the IPsec technology.""We are able to filter a lot of traffic especially when a lot of the traffic is in layer 7.""The technical is excellent."

"Edge protection is a valuable feature.""I like the solution's interface.""The most valuable features are that it's user-friendly, has interesting features, URL filtering, and threat prevention.""Everything has been okay with the solution. We are using all of the features.""For those who want a next-gen firewall that's easy to configure and easy to operate, I think you should go for Palo Alto."

Cons
"The pricing is the only con for this product.""It would be ideal if the solution had more capacity.""There could be a bit more functions on offer that could make it easier to use.""I think they should bring back remote VPN for users.""I would love it if it has a link-by-link feature, integration with Unified Threat Management (UTM), and load balancers. They haven't got any link-by-link feature right now, which can be a very attractive option. This link-by-link feature can also be made available for Cisco's UTM firewalls. The link-by-link feature is available in some of the other firewalls. Currently, integration with UTM is missing. Cisco IOS Security also doesn't have the load balancers and a few things that need to be done to get a good UTM firewall. Normally, other firewalls have UTM. As a next-generation firewall, it's good, but as a UTM, it has to do some work.""Signatures and other critical definitions need to be updated more frequently.""The user interface needs to be improved.""The configuration should be easier in the solution."

"Palo Alto's maintenance needs to be improved.""The pricing has improved with the newer generation of their Firewalls, but the price could always be lower. In comparison with other solutions, I believe they're quite competitive.""In terms of what needs improvement, the only thing I don't like is the support.""The technology firewall anomaly network could stand improvement.""The documentation needs to be improved. I need better information about how to configure it and what the best practices are."
