Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Technical support, in general, has been quite helpful.""I can reach devices or computers over the internet. I don't need to worry about the network connectivity between the offices. I can manage any device. That is the most important part.""Remote Wipe and Autopilot is one of the best features.""The key benefit of Intune is its integration with the Microsoft ecosystem.""The initial setup is not complex.""The most valuable feature is the UEM capabilities.""The biggest thing for us is enforcing logins only from devices that are managed by Intune.""The most valuable features are the ones that make sure that the deployment is of a standard operating system and the Zero Touch deployment, which is very useful. This allows users to have an out of box experience."

"The solution's single plane of glass approach is beneficial. The endpoint management is very good and specific. One of their competitors is Intune, and you have leaks from other services within the Microsoft ecosystem.""We recently integrated Workspace ONE with our intelligence report, and this is a great tool from a reporting point of view. In our daily business, we get several requests from businesses to provide an Adobe request for monitoring, whether it is for Android or iOS devices. The main benefit of this tool is that we can exclude the report for applications.""The most valuable feature of this solution is the tracking of the devices.""Workspace ONE adds a lot of value compared to Microsoft because Microsoft is a late entry into the market, and they're still developing their product from an end-user perspective. Workspace ONE has a slight edge because of AirWatch. VMware has developed its product over a longer period of time, so they have better integrations as a whole solution.""The most valuable feature is the security policies.""You can put all your applications on a mobile device, be it a phone or tablet. It is secure and easy to use. Because it is centrally managed, you don't have to do any configuration on the phone. I just got the phone and connected to the central applications. I just downloaded one thing and everything got rolled out. Email, calendar, and other things were deployed centrally. If you don't have AirWatch, you have to configure your phone manually. For example, you need to deploy and configure your email manually and then synchronize everything. It is much simpler when a mobile device is centrally managed.""The most valuable feature is policy-driven control of the devices.""VMware Workspace ONE is scalable."

Cons
"They need to integrate more with security options.""It would be better if they can reduce the cost of the license.""The most important thing is reporting. They should improve their reporting. They should give a free hand to users. In SCCM, I can create my own reports. For example, in SCCM, I can create an inventory report for my PC or for all PCs, but in Intune, we don't have an option to create any report. Microsoft claims that Intune is a successor of SCCM, but SCCM is more powerful than Intune. So, they should develop Intune more and make it equivalent to SCCM. Then, their product will be great in the market.""It just doesn't handle software updates well at all by itself. You need to be a scripting wizard to make those happen properly, or you use third-party tools. The Windows feature updates are very difficult to implement. I would like to see a proprietary built-in remote control tool. I know that they have Team Viewer integrated, but it is not seamless. It would be nice if they had a seamless remote desktop capability directly from the Intune console.""No option to do end-to-en macOS management. Slow implementation of policies.""The pricing can be expensive if you are not combining it with other products.""More integration with monitoring tools is needed.""They can improve their MAM policies a little bit more and make them more granular. They should include more granular group policies. They are there, but they need to be more granular. Its stability should also be improved. It is not very stable. Sometimes, it shows some inconsistencies across tenants."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"The pricing could always be better.""The location service could improve and more integration with other devices, such as Android enterprise and Apple devices.""I would like to see some integration with native Microsoft products such as Anti-value.""Technical support needs to be more responsive to our requests.""The initial setup should be simplified.""I would like to see improvements made to both the support, and the pricing.""The SaaS environment is not very responsive at times, so the performance can be improved in that regard.""There is no Apple zero-day support for updates."
