Quotes From Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The product is easy to manage.""Everything is core centralized on the UI.""In terms of scalability, adding a number of nodes, I find that it will not be any issues.""Ability to create multiple VMs.""It supports multi-cloud integration that includes AWS, Google, and Azure.""The most valuable feature is the integration of all parts in Prism Element, the browser-based management tool.""We like that the size of the box is 1U or 2U only, and all the servers are fit into that box. The ease of operation is there. All the servers and the SAN storage are inside the box.""In general, being able to patch and not having to pay for SanDisk is the best thing about hyper-converged."

"The configuration of the solution and the user interface are both quite good."

Cons
"The pricing of the solution is too high. It needs to be adjusted or lowered to be more competitive.""There is a lot of functionality in Prism Central, but sometimes you want to see those features in Prism Element.""This product would be improved if it included a hybrid cloud solution.""We did have some integration issues.""As of now, Acropolis and VMware cannot talk to each other. Until we have some kind of interface, it would be much better for Nutanix if they built an interface that can talk. Otherwise, if I have a VMware stack and I already have a Nutanix stack, I can create containers, I create clusters on VMware, I create clusters on Nutanix.""Some clients find the solution's cost to be too high.""USB dongle-based licenses do not allow us to directly locate the USB ports on Nutanix.""I would like to see them utilize the spare storage that they use as a redundant space. I feel that now a lot of resources are wasted just for standby purposes because we are using data protection. Instead of utilizing those resources only when something happens, they can have an alternative so that we can utilize these resources all the time."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"When compared to the competitors, the price is reasonable.""The pricing is fair for the package.""The pricing of Nutanix is not cheap but there are options available.""The price of the solution could improve. Nutanix has recently changed its pricing model from perpetual to subscription. They have identified there are challenges with the pricing model.""My advice is to get the ultimate license, as it is worth it.""Its licensing model is easy, but the bad thing is that we need to pay for the whole capacity at once. With VMware vSAN, we only have to pay for the capacity that we are using, which is not the case with Nutanix. So, we have more overhead for the licensing cost with Nutanix.""This product is less expensive than some of the competing HCI solutions.""Its price is fine. I can't really complain about that."
