The pricing has been very reasonable. I wouldn't describe it as expensive. Likely, any company would find the solution to be affordable.
We usually recommend our customers choose advanced licensing and enterprise companies are more inclined to choose this solution because it is more cost-effective than competitors.
All of the brands have different architectures for licensing. Some licenses come standard with the product, whereas some you need to buy. This product is not too expensive, and the price is competitive on the market.
There are some costs in addition to the standard licensing fees, depending on the requirements. Examples of these are the HyperMetro, HyperReplication, and HyperSnapshot (HyperSnap) features.
There are lots of features included with this solution and some of them require additional licensing, such as creating high availability storage using a cluster.
The pricing is very competitive. At first we were cautious about the NVMe storage but the price was more competitive than other solutions. Even more, if we consider the total cost of ownership of the storage because the cost of maintenance of the all-flash storage is very little. All-flash Huawei is much cheaper than the cost of maintenance of more traditional storage solutions.
I don't handle pricing, but I do believe it is less expensive than IBM.
