We all know it's really hard to get good pricing and cost information.
Please share what you can so you can help your peers.
In terms of the cost, I do not handle the price or the payments at all. I can't speak to how much the solution costs or what the licensing structure is like.
They need to improve its pricing. The storage market is dying. So, they need to improve the price because it should reach all people. NetApp is one of the top ones, and they are charging a little bit of royalty as compared to other storage solutions.
Most of my customers pay for the license on a yearly basis. It can be expensive depending on the capacity number.
NetApp EF-Series All Flash Arrays is an expensive product.
This solution is not available to many users because the cost is very expensive.
This is an enterprise-level solution and the costs are very high. Adding more capacity will increase the cost.
We are not talking about using this for all of our data storage, as that can be very expensive. We have singular pricing for the solutions we use. Vendors who provide all-flash storage have singular pricing that depends on a couple of factors.
The pricing of this solution is competitive with other vendors here in Egypt.
The prices are average but in the last year we bought three of these and it was expensive.
Our license is fully integrated now, so we don't have any additional payments. We do use volume cryptography, but I believe it is free.
