Our primary use case is when we've set up a Forti VPN or a IPsec VPN Full Mesh of 18 different locations on our FortiGates. It goes hand in hand with the FortiAPs as well.

We are mainly using Fortinet FortiClient as a VPN solution and secure access in a single, modular lightweight clien.

We are using Fortinet FortiClient to allow our workers to connect remotely to work. This is mostly because of the lockdown or if they are on vacation.

We use FortiClient to protect our assets, such as laptops, from network attacks. If we were to get a malicious attack this solution will detect it and block the site that is making the attack.

We use FortiClient for users who are working from home. It allows them to connect to the organization's network with the VPN and access the server.

We primarily use the solution for the VPN as well as for end protection. Those are the only two use cases for us. We don't use it for anything else.

There are two main use cases: the first is to deploy the security fabric environment from FortiGate to the endpoints so that there's only one policy in use. There's no need to deploy the policy in the firewall as well as the endpoint. So, if you deploy the policy in FortiGate, FortiClient can get that policy automatically. The second is to control the endpoint, that is, to control the antiviral software and antispyware in general.

This is used by our employees when they need to access our bookkeeping applications, such as Tally, from outside. We also have a couple of managers for our clients, and to manage that infrastructure, I use FortiClient to connect to that firewall and manage the server storage and everything else for them. We have most of our things on the cloud except a small unit, which is on-prem. Except for the financial bookkeeping, which we have on-prem, the rest is all on the cloud. We are not using its latest version. We are using the previous version of the client.

We use it for securing all of our endpoints as they move behind our firewall and outside our firewall or in and out of our network. We are using its latest version.

Initially, we needed a VPN client, but afterward, we needed some other functionalities included in FortiClient. The primary use is that users have to connect it to the VPN, and the secondary use is for web security. We are using the latest version, which has become free to use recently. FortiClient released a version that includes web security and antivirus.

Our primary use for FortiClient is just for its capability to securely connect VPN users from outside our environment during the lockdown. It has strong authentication. We use it for a VPN client for our network users. They just connect to our network in order to get access to our enterprise environment and for the EFT (Electronic File Transfer) system.

The primary use case of this solution is as a firewall. I have two Fortinet perimeter firewall boxes in my local data center. The two boxes also provide the SSL VPN functionalities, intended for authorized users only. Not everyone in my organization has access.

The primary use case is for remote access from having encrypted tunnels for our users back into our firewall. It was what was available at that point. We no longer are using a Fortinet firewall, which was the reason we stopped using FortiClient. While it was available, it was a good solution.
